Circuit Judge Janis Keyser

Congrats to Judge Keyser for getting the appointment to circuit court.  That opens up another appointment for county court.  Gov. Rick Scott is going to stack the courts as much as he can.  No brainer that he picked a sitting county judge.

Judge Maass resigns – open circuit seat

According to the DBR, Elizabeth Maass plans to leave the bench May 31st after 21 years.  She was known as a business litigation judge.   She didn’t give a reason for her resignation.  However, it seems she’s doing all right physically and financially.   Chief Judge Peter Blanc reported that she is in good health.
