In Florida, when a jury is released to deliberate, the judge will allow them to take certain materials with them. This may include the following:
· A copy of the formal charging instrument;
· Materials that were in evidence;
· Verdict forms; and
· Copy of the jury instructions
Once the jurors have gone to deliberate, they cannot be recalled to hear more evidence. However, the judge may recall them to hear extra or corrected instructions.
