Florida DUI Penalties for conviction

Penalties for Florida DUI Conviction
The penalties for a DUI conviction change almost every year. The chart below should be a general reference, not taken as legal advice. Typically, the penalties get worse every year. Here’s a general chart of what you may be facing if charged with DUI in Florida. When the number of prior DUI convictions rises, the minimum and maximum sentences increase as well. This increase applies not only to driving but also to boating offenses. The third conviction for an offense that occurs within 10 years after a prior conviction, and a fourth or subsequent conviction, is a third degree felony, punishable by up to 5 years prison.
